Any word on the band they are bringing in for Family Day. Nothing on the website yet although it does say to check back in August. Any rumors floating around? Very pleased with the last two year's entertainment, hopefully it will be on par with those bands.

Released today-

Dennis DeYoung, a founding member of the rock band Styx, has been signed as the headlining entertainment for the Family Day 2015 tailgating celebration.

Dennis DeYoung and the Music of Styx will perform in Q-Lot in the tailgating area at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. The concert is open free to the public.

DeYoung wrote eight of Styx's nine top 10 singles. Styx, the only band ever to record four consecutive triple platinum albums, has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide.

Over the past four decades, DeYoung has been a singer, songwriter, keyboardist and record producer. He wrote and sang several of Styx's classics, including "Lady," "Come Sail Away," "Mr. Roboto" and "Don't Let it End" and has recorded seven solo albums.

DeYoung's appearance is sponsored by the University Union Board (UUB), which began offering free headlining concerts as part of Family Day three years ago.

Sinbad. Nice haha. If Niki minaj came you might see some pretty upset people, because I doubt her performances are cheap.

True, although the Black Student Association often brings in their own entertainment for stuff, and occasionally they're pretty big-name acts. Not quite Nicki Minaj level usually, but it may not be out of the realm of possibility.

Well, if they can that's pretty neat.

Aren't they still banned from events after they had a huge fight at one of their events last year?
