Third non conference opponent

I didn't want this post to clog up the future schedules thread. So who do you think the Necks will grab for their third non-conference opponent? Hoping it is not another FBS school, hoping for an OVC or even Southland opponent like in the past. Let's get SFA, SHSU, or NSU on the schedule again. Why not? We used to have nice three-four game home and home deals with the Southland.

Makes sense to me.

We face the current 3 best conference teams all at home next year. No beat downs from FBS would be a good idea leading up to them unless we absolutely need the dollars to survive. A Big Sky opponent would be a nice balance to the Coastal trip this year.

We really need to find a home non-conference game for 2016. We have "open" dates on Sept 10 and Sept 17.

We already have two non-conference road games next year:
Sept 1 at Eastern Illinois.
Sept 24 at Northern Illinois.

Not going to lie it was nice to have the team head over here to the Atlantic coast last year, with the Coastal game. Personally, I'm hoping for another game in this area. (Was really hoping for that next possible playoff game in VA). I also think it would be nice for Western to play an FBS team outside of the Big 10, we played Las Vegas a while back and that was nice to shake things up a bit. Maybe AAC, CUSA. I don't think a Sunbelt team would play us for fear of losing. Nice that we are playing Northern Illinois in the MAC, since I think that's the likely conference if we were to ever make a bid to move up.
