I very much agree!

Offered a preferred walk-on spot to a placekicker out of Palos Verdes (CA....LA area).
Kyle Coale:

Attended a bunch of kicking camps, got pretty decent ratings at most of them:

Looking at some of his highlight videos, it looks like he makes good solid connection on the ball...."kicks with confidence". Definitely worth giving an opportunity to as a preferred walk-on. Just FYI, preferred walk-on generally means that they'll automatically get a spot on the 105-man roster at the start of camp (they don't need to try out to earn a spot), but they don't (for now) get offered a scholarship. If they do well and prove themselves, they can earn a scholarship when one is available: http://www.athleticscholarships.net/201 ... alk-on.htm

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that our recruiting for 2016 class continues this weekend. There will be 15 potential walk-ons on campus from all over the country. From talking with the coaches we are high on these kids lists and they are players that just simply fell through the cracks! Several coaches described them to me like this..."these kids can play and they will make a contribution to our program".

What's attractive to the out of state kids is they don't have to pay out of state tuition and is Western is less expensive than walking on at an in-state D1 or DII school.

Future is bright!

One is Raymond Sullivan, DE/OLB from Lincolnshire, IL...we've seen info about him earlier and it looks like he might end up being a walk-on.
