Lance was cut from Seattle's practice squad last week. On the plus side, at least he did not get electronically booed on the field like a certain Eagles QB after overthrowing a pass. Now I know for sure the folks in Philly would boo Santa Claus.
Embrace the pace of the race.

Seahawks made some IR moves and had some promotions to the active roster, so Lance is back on the Practice Squad.

Lance had a very slim chance of making the Bills. Not because of lack of talent, but simply the pieces they had in place and he's not a legit NFL return man. If he had those returning skills they wouldn't have cut him, just to sign Steve Sims after their other return guys became unavailable. Sims does have 2 years of production and younger, so that and return skills help.

There are ton of guys like Lance out there, gifted athletes and capable of contributing, but never having the right circumstances. The elite talents can't be beat out, some bigger names out of college are handed spots, some guys earn spots and others earn the chance and circumstances allow them to see the field. Those guys then get to produce and have a much greater chance to hang around the league. Lance always seemed to impress everywhere he went, just always had a few too many guys in the way.

He could still find a practice squad opportunity and fingers crossed the cards fall his way and he gets his chance, but time is running out.

I wonder if Sean McGuire might be able to convince him to head north of the border. Probably have a much better chance of getting on the field up there.

Yeah, these guys right on the cusp are probably torn between actual playing time in the CFL and holding on to the NFL dream.

If you can make a practice squad and hang on all year, you'll make 143k and have that chance to get that promotion. One week promotion gets you league min 39k. Min salary for US players in CFL is 65k.

But would love to see that connection back together in the future.
