Due to forecasted weather, the WIU Softball home series against Purdue Fort Wayne has been adjusted:

🔶 Doubleheader Friday at 2:30 p.m.
🔶 Series finale Saturday at 1 p.m.

They just won the first game, 3-2, with Ira striking out 9 and giving up one walk in the top of the 7th. I think they probably will go with Carlin who really did a nice job in game 3 at North Dakota. We definitely left some people on base. Lets get the bats going this next game! ;) jc

Western scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to win the second game 5-4. Purdue Fort Wayne had scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th to take a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the 7th.

Weather: 60's, sunny.

Attendance at Mary Ellen McKee Stadium = 112.

The series finale, final home game, and Senior Day will be Saturday at 1PM -- depending on the weather. Rain is expected for Saturday.

Western fell behind 3-0 early, but rallied back to win the Senior Day game 9-3.

Weather: 55, cloudy, damp.

Attendance at Mary Ellen McKee Stadium = 134.

The regular season will conclude next weekend with a three-game series at Omaha. It will start off at Noon on Saturday with a double-header.
