Huh...that is interesting. Here's his stats/info from his time as a Spider: https://richmondspiders.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=2979
I wonder if they're wanting a bit of competition for the QB job, maybe to help push Sampson or just so we can have an experienced backup or something.

Looks like a RB from Richmond had his visit at the same time as Johnson did. Deontez Thompson (https://twitter.com/Tezz_Doe) is supposed to be announcing where he's transferring this evening.

Thompson announced he is heading to WIU also. Should help with our RB depth.

was there scholarships available or have guys left we don't know about yey.

Kendon Walker tweeted on March 26th he has signed with WIU. Looks like he’s a JUCO RB,WR from Arizona Western and his Twitter bio says he runs a 4.3 40.

Here’s his Hudl page. 5’11 205 and he looks a lot like McShane. But I believe he is bigger than him. If this has been poster already, sorry. Arizona Western has his posted as a freshman last year from Chandler,AZ. So we should have him with three more years of eligibility. Not sure what the competition is like in JUCO down there but he looks like a big play maker.

I remember another fairly decent RB we got from Arizona Western a while back: https://goleathernecks.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11194

We had a string of decent players (mostly JUCO transfers) from that region for a while. I know Hi-C Scott (WR) and Nick Ziegenbein (OL) just off the top of my head.
The 2014 roster, for example, had 8 guys that had come in from AZ JUCO's and two others who were in HS in that area of AZ. Mostly Scottsdale and Glendale CC's (around Phoenix), but Baker and Scott were AZ Western (Yuma).

Looks like AZ Western shut down their football program after this last season: https://www.azwestern.edu/about/news/ar ... ll-program

True 4.3 40s are pretty rare in this world.

Well hopefully his twitter bio isn’t embellishing how quick he is because it would be awesome to have that speed for three years.

Coach Ward did a really good job of recruiting the Juco’s down there

Maybe nothing, maybe something, but we have an offer out to Fotis Kokosioulis, a transfer WR (was RB in HS) who was a freshman at NIU last year. Originally from Maine South HS in the Chicago area.

Announced he was transferring on April 29th, posted he'd had an offer from Western on May 1st.
