Started every game for the Demons this last season, leading the team in minutes played, assists, steals, and points (and points per game).

Also, I like that's he's a local kid (Wapello is about halfway between Burlington and Muscatine) so he knows what the area is like and what he's getting into with regards to a small midwestern town, which is something I worry about sometimes when I see kids come in from from much larger cities/urban areas, especially outside the midwest. He should have 2 years of eligibility left.

Looks like Massner could be play either PG or SG early in college career. Most of the video I see of late has him more in the SG role.
Embrace the pace of the race.

Watched his 2020 highlights and kid can shoot. Also liked that he had 2 dunks in the highlights. I know most guys at this level can throw down, but not happening very often in our games.

Made a similar comment/observation in our baseball thread that we only have 3 HRs on the season. Dunks and HRs aren't the end all, but always nice and exciting when you have players that are capable on the regular.

For reference, of our 550 made baskets, only 18 were dunks. Anhold had 6 in limited appearances, Burrell 5, Pearson 4 and Carius 4.

Had a bunch of games with no dunks by either team. Miss the Parks days when he had multiple dunks a game!!!!

Massner and Sandage are similar they can both play either guard spot both can really shoot it. If we can get some consistent post play we could be pretty good with the outside shooting we now have.

Was a Junior Guard this year. Previously played at Weatherford College and Mountain View College.
This last season, he played in 16 games, starting in 2, averaged 8.9 minutes, 2.3 ppg, 0.4 rebounds per game, .346 on FGs, .357 for 3pts, and .929 on FTs.
Talton is transferring to York College, part of the City University of New York system. York College is a DIII school that competes in the City University of New York Athletic Conference.

I just saw that: https://twitter.com/VerbalCommits/statu ... 1610339338

Justin played 2018-19 at Bryant and Stratton College (JUCO)
2019-20 at Iowa Lakes CC
This last season, Brookens played in 22 games (starting 7), averaging 16 minutes per game. He scored 6.9 ppg, was .386 on FGs, .353 on 3pts, and .762 on FTs, and had 34 rebounds (1.5 per game) and 32 assists.
I know our coaching staff played around a lot with different starting lineups this year to see what combinations worked best. Brookens started in Iowa game to start the season, then started 6 games in a row (UT-Martin, DePaul, 2x NDSU, 2x SDSU) but didn't start any games after Jan. 9th. Since that point, he averaged 10.2 minutes per game.
Brookins is headed to Northern Michigan (DII GLIAC). I wonder if he got some info from Will Carius about it (NMU is where Carius played his Freshman year before transferring to Monmouth).

Was going to add that Rod Johnson also played with Carius there and follow-up with any confirmation he's 100% not coming back after leaving late in the year. Well the roster update has removed players and he is no longer on there.

That leads me to the next question, do we have 1 scholarship left of the 13? Assuming Jr and Wade will both be walk-ons and the additions we know of gets us to 12 (Transfers Barisic, Bennett, Massner and FR Lee).
