Can beat anyone off the dribble. Shoot from outside. Finish at the rim. Excellent ball handling. Jump out of the gym.

Iowa won the game 92-71.

Trenton Massner led the Western scoring with 20 points.  Colton Sandage had 15.  Will Carius had 12 points and 9 rebounds.  Luka Barisic had 12 points.

Western was 5 for 30 (17%) on three-pointers.

Western was 6 for 6 on free throws.

Western had 8 Bench Points.

Iowa's largest lead came at the end of the game:  21 points (92-71).

Attendance at Iowa = 15,056

Next game will be Saturday (Jan 1) at Saint Thomas.  Game time is 2:00 PM.

Watching the game from the nosebleed section in Carver, my take was we looked pretty good against a much more athletic team which happened to have an exceptional shooting game.  Their quickness also killed us on the fast breaks points, the kind of points that really got the crowd into game.  We made a little baby run in the 2nd half but could not sustain it.  On to St Thomas.
