Northern Illinois beats Eastern Illinois, 34-27

And our next week opponent, I think I'm confident in going ahead and saying they'll win their game, Minnesota leads NM State, 38-0 with 3 minutes left in the game.

Something interesting that I didn't realize before...all the Illinois "directionals" have alumni as head football coaches.
NIU's Thomas Hammock played Tailback for the Huskies from '99-'02
SIU's Nick Hill was a record-setting Saluki QB in '06-'07
EIU's Chris Wilkerson played for the Panthers from '91-'94
and of course our own Myers Hendrickson who played WR/Special Teams from '09-'11

UIW is supposed to be pretty good, but that result was incredibly surprising to me. Maybe SIU is down a bit vs last year, but we'll need another game or two to be able to tell probably.
