Campbell is leaving the Big South to join the CAA next year (2023). As a reminder, NC A&T also joining the CAA next year.
Also, James Madison is transitioning to the FBS, so they are no longer in the CAA.

Looks like Kennesaw State is likely to be moving up to CUSA. Kennesaw State has ~40k students, although is generally thought of as a "commuter school", so idk how many students actually live on campus. 40k puts it bigger than U of Iowa or Nebraska, and slightly smaller than Indiana University or Maryland. They're also located in Kennesaw, GA, which is a northern suburb of Atlanta, so it gets CUSA into the Atlanta market (it currently does not have a presence in Georgia, although does have a presence in most of the neighboring states.
If the addition of KSU goes through, CUSA football in 2023 will consist of: Florida International, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee State, U of Texas El Paso (UTEP), Western Kentucky, plus new additions Jacksonville State, Liberty, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, and Kennesaw State.

Xavier University (Cincinnati, OH) looking at adding FCS football (Pioneer League) and rowing.
I know the Pioneer doesn’t really concern itself with travel costs much with teams in California, Florida, and NY State, but they’re really close to current Pioneer League members Dayton, Morehead, and Butler, with Valpo not too far away either.
