Just received word tonight OL/Run Game Coordinator Brian Frana was told his contract was not being renewed. He was totally blind sided. Didn't see it coming. Anyone hear of any other changes??

Also we just gained a commitment from a JuCo LB from Iowa Central last Sunday, Noah Epley, 6'1" 22lbs, Was offered after the "bowl" game at the UNI - Dome on Sunday was what I was told today from one of his former high school coaches.

With Grant leaving, do any WIU coaches have D1 experience?

This is a good opportunity to bring in a few G5/FCS minds and help right the ship.

* Coach Savage (DBs) appears to be the only member of staff with position coach experience above D2.

Don't forget about Hen Sr, but yeah someone with FCS or above experience would be nice.

Yeah, that was mentioned a couple of days ago in the "Interesting Off Season" thread: viewtopic.php?p=38144#p38144

May have been "blindsided", but we were 116th out of 123 FCS teams in total offense, 115th in rushing offense. Slightly better (87th) in passing offense. We ran for a total of 1283 yards...under 90 yards per game this year with a total of 2 rushing TDs (I think I remember Herb Donaldson picking up more than that in 1 game back in '06...only somewhat kidding...he had 328 yards and 6 TDs). I get that we're rebuilding, but our O-line and run game were our biggest problems this year.
