So weird, how they continue to get commitments makes you wonder what is really going on. I've seen I think 3 commitments in the past week

The $64K question to ask is did any of them have other D1 offers?  Lately, I would ask the same question for all of our programs.  D1 is where all kids want to play, especially if there is an solid academic program that interests them.  If you got zero other D1 offers, you probably dont care who the coach is.

that is a good point and question, which I am not sure.

I check the page of every guy who commits for baseball to look for that and I think I've only seen a couple with another D1 offer, in those cases it seemed like a location signing. Some of them pass my statline/eye test and some don't. I've been concerned with some of the pitching signings giving the current state of things. Lots of high ERA, not the K count to make me dream of it turning around. I'll watch them throw and don't see it. The hitters have a little more to get excited at. Our most recent signing Reece Davis had a great statline in lower college and looks to have a nice swing for an example.

Another 40 lost season is not acceptable.... haven't had a winning season since 2007

If the Sheriff has some decent incoming pitchers on his posse, I assume he might be.  Our depth there this year left a lot to be desired.
Other than that, might we make former Neck Adam McGinnis the youngest coach in D1?  Former catchers do seem to make good managers.

Embrace the pace of the race.

Would love to have McGinnis!

Got a chance to meet him when he played at WIU, great young man and bright future.

He his currently as an assistant at powerhouse Heartland

Recruiting wise it would be nice to get a new coach sooner than later.
