We've one three straight now. It looks like we're riding pitching at the moment. Maybe this new assistant has something cooking on the pitching side. Walks are finally down a bit. I attended my first game the last series and got stupid sunburnt.

We are in the mix for that last conference tournament slot.  Six games left for both teams but Little Rock has played 3 fewer games because of rainouts.  So does it come down to the better winning percentage within conference?  We did win the series against them 2-1.

One game left to determine whether Western or Little Rock secures that #8 seed position in tournament.
Winning percentage in conference will be the main decider. We are behind Little Rock going in (.348 vs. .346).
Here are the possible outcomes:

1) Both teams win. Little Rock would advance by better winning percentage (.375 vs .370)
2) Both teams lose. Both would have identical winning percentages (.333) and Little Rock would advance by better head-to-head tiebreaker record (2-1)
3) One team wins and the other loses. Winning team will advance, so

Go Western. Go SEMO.

The moral of the story is this:  In the game of baseball, never let your winning percentage be anywhere close to your batting average.

Embrace the pace of the race.
