Does not appear that we can finish in top 8 for tournament. But how does it work? Little Rock is leaving conference after this year. So does that make them ineligible for tournament play so we sort of sneak in the hard way? I think some conferences work that way. Not sure about the OVC.

Tennessee Tech 6-21
Western and Tennessee Tech did not make the conference tournament.
Western finishes the season with an overall record of 17-36 (8-19 in the OVC).

I was so dissapointed that we STILL didnt make the tournament. It feels like we never will. The team had some bright spots, but pitching depth remains the biggest issue. While every single club has this problem its an even bigger problem here than elsewhere as we struggle to field pitchers who can even compete at this level for full 3 game series + 1 midweek game.

OVC Tournament champion Little Rock is playing in a Super-Regional at Troy -- best of 3 format.
Troy won game 1 on Friday 12-2.

WIU picked up a commitment from the transfer portal Kayden Jennings who previously played at NIU. Didn't play a whole lot at NIU in his 3 years there.

Not sure if this was in the works before Bubb left or if the interim AD did it, but it was announced today that Coach Davis got a contract extension.
