Western is shooting 8 for 28 (29%). South Dakota State is shooting 13 for 32 (41%).

Garret Covington and Jamie Batish are leading the Western scoring with 5 points.

Two fouls on Tate Stensgaard and Mike Miklusak.

One thing these guys do much better than us is dribble and pass with a purpose in mind. No wasted effort.

Anders Broman was all-world in the parochial HS level. Just an average or below average player at the DI level. Most parochial school teams just do not play any competition.

Why are we so bad on the road? Good question. I think it has to do with coaching. On the road, if you have a weakness, the opposing coach is going to exploit it to no end. At home, he is more of a "good guy" and does not want to make you look bad in front of your home folks.

Well let's see.....just barely got past UNO at home after falling 14 behind, they are young kids along way from home, on a very cold night, in a hostile environment, lacking consistency as they learn to play as a unit, that would seem to begin to explain the on again off again team WIU has at the present time. They are 7/7 and getting better in a two steps forward,one step back process. IMO! ;) jc

For the game, Western shot 31% (18 for 58). South Dakota State shot 47% (26 for 55).

Attendance at South Dakota State was 1,407.

I understand young team but they haven't even been close. Uic game was it by 3 points. Throw that game out and they are losing each game at a 27 point clip.

In the Summit League's other Wednesday night game, Oral Roberts beat IUPUI 69-61 in overtime.

Obi Emegano had 9 points for Oral Roberts. He played 34 minutes.

Attendance at Oral Roberts was 2,836.
