You would have to give up the fan fest with all of the pep rallies and shooting games going on in the old arena right now, at least for the one day. I think the smaller scale and newer Pentagon would be better suited for the quarters than the "Old Barn". The NBA D-League team (actually they call it the "G-League" now to get some Gatorade bucks) also plays in the Pentagon so would have to work around their schedule to make it happen.
Do they use the exhibit halls in the convention center between the two arenas during the tournament?
They could probably set up most of that stuff in those rooms if they weren't using them.

Every year they have had something going on in the convention halls on the weekend. In the past, it has been a huge home and garden show. This year it was a smaller scale Golf Expo. On Monday and Tuesday, SDSU, USD, and NDSU were all using the big convention areas for their pre-game get-togethers for fans (food, bands, sort of indoor tailgating). Sheraton Hotel is also attached and has a big room available for that kind of stuff.

They play South Dakota at South Dakota. This is the stupidest thing ever, that you have to play a team from your own conference.
they corrected this, now WIU is headed to Colorado to play Colorado St

Looking at Colorado St's roster they have a lot of foreigners on the roster, girls from Europe.

The winner of the Western vs Colorado State game will play the winner of the South Dakota vs Houston game in the second round.

So Ryun Williams is there head coach he is a USD grad and former coach well let's hope we can crash the reunion plans.
