School starts soon. What is our reality?
Having no Idea whatsoever my projection for Freshman is: 889
My projection for the University System is 9,344 (macomb, quad, etc.)
Anybody else care to take a stab at it?
Higher education in our country is at a crossroad. Too expensive too much risk for reward.

I watched the University assembly on the net. Sounds like the numbers might be a little higher than the earlier forecast. I wont make a prediction. I will say that closing video message from RPTA grad Rich Gulotta (sp?) was first-rate. Every signature program/department needs a good-will ambassador like him.

That's kinda what I've been hearing as well. Still down, but a bit better than expected.

This has been the subject of conversation at the Gym this week from Western staff--both current and retired.
They were expecting a Freshman class of 900 this fall. That is down from the 1,206 for Fall 2017. But it is better than the earlier estimates of 700.
They were expecting a total Macomb enrollment of 6,500 and 900 at Quad Cities. Total = 7,400.

Guesstimate:
875 - 900 Freshmen
8,300 - 8,400 total enrollment.

Dr. Jason Woods, Associate Vice President for Student Services and Interim Director of Admissions, said more than 900 new freshmen are enrolled for the fall semester along with 750 new transfer students and 550 new graduate students. He said those figures are larger than ones projected in March.
Woods did not have projections for overall student enrollment.
