In the 11AM elimination game, South Dakota State beat IPFW 6-3. IPFW has been eliminated.

Western will be playing South Dakota State in an elimination game at 7PM. The winner of that game will move on to Saturday's championship round.

Midco Sports Network will provide live broadcast coverage, both via television and free web streaming, for Saturday's Summit League Baseball Championship game(s). The winner of The Summit League Championship receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Saturday's championship game begins at 1 p.m. CT at Sioux Falls Stadium in Sioux Falls, S.D. In the event that a second championship game is necessary in the double-elimination format, the start time is scheduled for approximately 4:30 p.m. CT.

Tied up 2-2 in the bottom of the 8th inning.

EDIT - sorry...make that 5-2 Leathernecks, end of the 8th. 4 runs this inning.

And that's a final, 5-2, Western wins. They'll play tomorrow vs NDSU and have to win twice if they want to win the conference championship.

Western's 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th propelled the team to a 5-2 victory over South Dakota State.

South Dakota State has been eliminated.

Western will now play in the championship round on Saturday. This game will be televised and streamed by Midco SN. The link for this website has been posted above.

Midco viewership tomorrow just took a big hit. We could use more of that kind of thing.

title game with NDSU tomorrow should be interesting. Wiu needs to win twice, I'm hoping Ernst can pitch on 1 days rest.

Bison had a good year across the board. Competing with them day in and day out, we are not quite there yet but trending in right direction.

North Dakota State won the championship game 9-0.

Western ends the season with a 21-32 overall mark. The most wins since the 2011 season.

Western reached the tournament championship game for just the fourth time in program history, and the first time since 2006.

North Dakota State scored 8 runs in the first two innings of the game.

Attendance was 416.

Weather: Mostly cloudy, 74, Wind S 15 mph.

A big BRAVO to Midco SN were televising/streaming the game! :D

Western had four players named to the 2014 Summit League Baseball Championship All-Tournament team following the conclusion of the tournament. Tom Constand, JJ Reimer, Tanner Glore, and Jameson Henning all recieved the recognition for their performances in the tournament.

The four All-Tournament team selections for Western are the most since 2004.
