For roster changes between the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

Starting with...Kobe Webster will be doing a grad transfer:

I was holding my breath it really didn’t happen. Heard about this a while ago. He has a bright future. Good bye and good luck to him.

I will forever remember the grittiness Kobe exhibited in the semi-final loss to NDSU last year.
That said, I don't think he is the type of PG who makes his teammates better.
At least not this year. At least not with this cast of characters.
My justification for saying this is simple. We are ranked 337 out of 350 in assists per game. A really good PG would not let that happen.

Without a doubt, he is the best we had this year.

If Pyle and/or Young leaves, it will be a major rebuilding effort for the next coach.

Some rebuilding for sure. But does a coach intend to go after some seasoned JUCO prospects from the getgo (sort of a "renovation") or does he gut the interior and do a whole home remodel. If I am an AD, that is on my list of questions.

He had already said he was going to grad transfer before Billy didn't get another contract. This was going to happen either way.

Don't blame him as he's looking out for his future. He competed every game and got his degree, so good for him. There are plenty of better teams in better conferences that would love to rent him for one season. Hope he lands somewhere good and experiences a winner and puts more money in his pocket as a pro.

Another non-JUCO route option that I never really thought about til now is to build a squad by enticing WALKON (non-scholarship) players from other schools to come and play for you. They have immediate eligibility based on a recent change to the NCAA transfer rules.

I see Kobe probably landing at a high major school.
