He (MA) cooked his own goose in the community when he called Macomb racist. That was, in my opinion, the end of his chances to get the presidency here.

The thing I liked most about MA was he did not sugar coat reality and faced adversity with sound and stern, when necessary, policy decisions. I hope we are not back to sweeping things under the rug just to save face. We shall see.

I didn't mind him calling the town out, but I lost respect for him when he backtracked as soon as it became a news story. I felt he was trying to play both sides of the card. Can't do that. Leaders own their words.

Going to miss Dr A! What a great guy that did so much for this Univ in the small and difficult time he had here. Good luck to him!

Update on Dr. Abraham's situation. He's being "reassigned" from his position as Provost to a faculty position in Engineering and Technology. I have also heard that he is up for a couple of positions elsewhere, but I don't know what positions and where.
