Lest we never forget that WIU's most-storied hoops season happened in 1953-54 when we also were an NAIA team.
Culver-Stockton is an NAIA Division I school, comparable to NCAA D2.  These kids are pretty talented.

Offense is looking a little ragged against them.

I had planned to attend but feeling a little under the weather today, so staying home and taking care of business.

I like the balanced scoring. We have 5 or 6 guys who can throw up 20 on any given night.

Western won the game 91-69.

Will Carius led the Western scoring with 19 points.  Colton Sandage and Luka Barisic each had 16.

Attendance at Western Hall = 940.

Next game will be at Western Hall on Tuesday (November 16) vs Iowa Wesleyan.  Game time is 6:00 PM.

There were only a few hundred people in the stands when the game started.  But the crowd did get larger as the game went on when more students showed up.

I see that we are going with 6:00 PM starts this year instead of 7:00 PM.

A 6:00 PM start time is ok for a Saturday game.  But it might be too early for a game during the week.

It will be interesting to see if that early start-time has an impact on the attendance.

I know one complaint that i hear from people with families in the community was that games where to late on school nights games weren't over until 9 and it was 10 before the little one's where going to bed.
