For anyone curious about Byron Jarrett (from Ellsworth CC, was here for a few months, then transferred out), he's headed to D2 West Florida.

Damn good D2 school.  Program has only been around since 2016 and already have a D2 National Championship from 2019.  Might eventually be looking to move up to FCS.

They graduated stud QB and 2018 SIU redshirt Austin Reed.  They air it out, so he could potentially have a huge year there, but also lost all their top WR's.  He'll likely be competing against a former 3 star Arkansas State Qb.

Mike Ross committed to Indiana State as well.

They've been slowly updating the roster and now looks like its complete.  Unless there are people removed that shouldn't be or people not yet added.

Pretty limited roster with 55 players and 4 being K/P, so if there are any injured people sitting out we might be under 50 position players for the spring game.  25 on defense and 26 on offense.

Only 5 WR, but do have 6 TE (Maronic and Nauman moved from SB label). Only 3 Rb's with Reed moving to WR and Gavin no longer listed. Only 7 OL so lots of reps for these guys.  Was hoping Henson would be back or we'd see Morrow potentially suiting up this year, but both removed and same with Xanders who I think started 1 game in 2020.

5 LB's with (Pua'auli moving from SB).  Do have 9 DL, but never sure on how they label our DE/OLB's.  Knaus moves from OL to DL and might be better suited there.

Qb Day added, but we knew that already.  Show Jason McKie added, but confused and thought Jalen was here, per Spott's previous twitter picture/post.  Directory show Jalen who started a few years back at NIU and no Jason, so we'll see.  Their dad Jason played a bunch of years with the Bears and he has a son Jason????

Don't see Watts who was seen earlier at the beginning of the spring, so wondering about him.  Other person I thought would be back and not seeing is Ziare Williams, but DB is probably one of the spots we some depth and experience.

I remember this dude from last year when he was expected to go to IL. Not sure what happened there, but excited to see him in the Purple and gold.

Would think he's coming in to play RB, but did convert to WR and we need help there.  Any idea?

Also, noticed Watts was in the spring scrimmage photo and just not in pads, so looks like he's still part of the team and just not on the roster for some reason.

Anyone one else see new faces.  A few numbers out there that don't match up to what the roster says: 2, 3, 7, 18, 72.  Believe Ross was in 2 and and Mckie in 3.

He's from the KC area, so I've been watching him for years.  He is a natural WR, he won the Otis Taylor award, which is given to the top WR in the area his senior year at Bishop Miege.  He got moved to RB at ND due to some injuries, and really took off.  Until he started having groin injury problems a couple seasons later and got Wally Pipped.  Not sure what was up with the Illinois situation, but if he has his head on straight, he's already our top WR or RB.  Looks like they are at least initially thinking WR.  He also graduated from ND, so academics shouldn't be a problem.  I'm cautiously optimistic that we may have hit on a great transfer here.  Also hoping it may attract a few other transfers to take a serious look at us.  Still need some offensive lineman that are ready to play.

This past weekend Leatherneck Football Alumni, community leaders, and current players families raised over$10,000 for the new game pants shown in the picture.  They are a light gray digital camo pant design by Adidas!

Because of our ties with the Marine Corps this will be a great look with either our purple or white jerseys.
