Well that's disappointing. Guess Coach Hen is going to be looking for a couple more defensive coaches.

Yes it’s unfortunate but that’s coaching.  A lot of moves.  Nothing is ever a guarantee.  There’s a lot of good coaches out there that will make good DC’s.

Coach Feeney is going to the Raiders and yes Coach Wilson to Auburn.  Coach Wilson was listed as one of the top 50 assistants moving up in the ranks.  They helped us land some good recruits out of Georgia.

Coach Hendrickson already ready has some really good candidates he’s interviewing.  It will all work itself out.

Well can't blame him for leaving if he got a job with the Raiders.

John Carroll U. pipeline pays off for him.

Yeah, can’t really compete with an NFL team and a pretty solid SEC team. Probably both paying their assistants more than we’re paying our HC.

I could be wrong but I think those two (and the already departed Roberts) made up all of our previous D1 coaching experience *. Hopefully we're able to replace apples with apples.

Plus Zach Grant, who coached here last year.

Yeah its weird about Roberts, he had tweeted this weekend about recruits being on campus and now he's not on the staff. Something must of happened

Coach Roberts has 3 opportunities.  1. With his Alma Mater Virginia Tech for an off field position (most likely an Analyst) 2. An FBS offer to coach TE’s.  Both of these options are close to his son. 3. Co-pass game coordinator and WR coach at Eastern Washington University.  He’s not sure which one he’s taking.  He thought it would be best to leave now so it doesn’t disrupt recruiting.

Coach Hendrickson will be interviewing and hiring a WR coach after the February 2nd signing day.  He wants to take his time and bring in the right fit.  The next 14 days are important to get commitments for the offers that have out.

Roberts did get hired as an offensive analyst for Va Tech.

Back to WR in FBS

So we going to get a DC before spring practice?  Tough to install a defense and philosophies without a DC.  I'm sure Hen and his guys can put together a game plan, but would be ideal having a DC leading the way.

Bryan Cox is off the market, got a job with the Giants as a DL assistant.  Diaco still isn't working and probably still flush with contract buyout cash.

Hate to rush to fill a spot as important as DC, but damn......
