Any news on any assistant coaches yet?

Crickets… 

Well it only took 6-7 weeks to hire the HC so maybe we get assistants by June.

Actually it didn’t take that long to hire a head coach.  It just seemed that long to most of you.  Coach Hendrickson has several positions filled…he just can’t announce them until the university reopens on the 4th.  It’s the university’s policies not his.  He’s hoping to announce some in not most of his staff by the end of next week fingers crossed.  It’s in the university’s hands next week.

Campus recruiting trips are being scheduled for the weekend of the 14th.  The high school recruiting dead period is in effect until the 13th.  High school kids can only be contacted once a week during this time.  The current offers you see are for mid-year transfers…they can be contacted as much as a coach wants until signed.  I also know that Coach Hendrickson likes to make his offers in person to high school recruits. So once the 14th hits you will see a lot visits and posts from kids that are being offered. 

I can tell you this…we will have a really good recruiting class because of the outpouring of former Neck players that are very successful high school coaches AND his relationships with coaches all over the Midwest.  Our alumni base has sent many potential future Leathernecks for his review.  This is something the former staff never did!!

Any Chance we have some coaches in place by the end of the week.

I noticed they finally took all the coaches off the website and finally put myers on there.
