I have a feeling our new DC is Todd Drury, head coach of Missouri S&T. He announced today he is stepping down and he's previously been a DC & he is followed by a bunch of WIU coaches.

Seems likely. Native of Peoria, was MO S&T's DC for 3 years, then went 7-4 in 2019 and 6-5 in 2021 as HC. Young guy too...played football from 2005-2008 at Evangel University.

As previously mentioned, Todd Drury is leaving Missouri S&T to be our new DC, but I thought this was interesting...
https://footballscoop.com/news/todd-dru ... pportunity

The last line:
At Missouri S&T, associate head coach / offensive coordinator Andy Ball is serving as interim head coach while a national search takes place.
So, Drury is leaving to be the DC at WIU, and taking his place as interim HC at Missouri S&T is another former Leatherneck player and son of a Leatherneck HC...S&T OC Andy Ball.
Do we have an OC, or is Myers going to be the HC and essentially the OC also? Just thought it might be crazy if we ended up with the son of Randy Ball as our OC at the same time that the son of Mark Hendrickson is our HC (I'm not saying that's going to happen, just an interesting though).

I hope he's still got a bit left in the tank because Coach Mark Hendrickson is now in the university directory listed as our OC: http://directory.wiu.edu/?display&alias=MM-Hendrickson
He seemed to be a bit out of his depth at times as HC, but like 57 said, some of our best offenses were coordinated by him. He was OC originally from 1999-2007 and our top scoring offenses in our team's history are, in order:
  • 2003 - OC Hendrickson
  • 2002 - OC Hendrickson
  • 1999 - OC Hendrickson
  • 2017
  • 2010 - HC Hendrickson
  • 2000 - OC Hendrickson
  • 1994
  • 2008 - HC Hendrickson
  • 2005 - OC Hendrickson
  • 1992
So, of the 10 highest-scoring offenses we've ever had, he was in charge of half of them, and the HC over 2 more.

On the football roster under coaching staff, he listed as fullback/ tight end and specialists.
