They "reseed" teams after each round.  I kind of like that approach when got 32 teams involved.
I assume teams bid for hosting games so probably not playing in Western Hall, no matter how far we advance, although did not the women host a post-season game a year or two back?

The women hosted SIU the year before we went to the NCAA tournament.

Western Women's Basketball hosted a first-round game in the 2016 Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI).

Western (#4 seed) hosted SIU-Carbondale (#5 seed) in a March 17, 2016 game at Western Hall.  Western won that game 99-97.  Attendance = 694.

Western lost their second round game in the 2016 WBI to South Carolina-Upstate (#8 seed) 81-78.  That game was played at Spartanburg, South Carolina.  Attendance = 172.
 
 

Game is at 6 PM on Tuesday, 3/15 and will be on ESPN+

UTEP finished 19-13 overall and 11-7 in C-USA
They're listed at 164 in the NCAA Net Rankings, while WIU is 225.

For reference, here's how they compare to the Summit League:

#225 WIU

Since we went 1-1 with both ORU and NDSU with both of those wins being on the road, I think we stand a halfway decent chance.
Massey gives us about a 23% chance of a win, with a predicted score of 77-69 for UTEP.

We're the only Summit League team. Horizon League has two in it: Youngstown State and Detroit Mercy
 

So glad to see they got invited to this, glad that Carius in particular gets at least one more game in a WIU uniform. I'm assuming the guys that have entered the portal won't be dressed for these games. So they will really have a short bench. Besides against Top 25 competition, I think this team can beat anybody, but then again, they can lose to anybody, so I think they definitely have a shot. Would be nice if they could win at least one game.

Glad these guys get another game and hope they win, but was happy we had a team finish OVER 500.
