Looks like our 2022/23 schedule is starting to get put together. DePaul has announced we're on their home schedule for a matchup in Chicago on November 11.
Fling out the Purple and the Gold, We're Marching On.

Would many fans around WIU prefer to have some double headers? What are other parts of the schedule would you tinker?ST_Lawson wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 4:26 pm Men's full conference schedule is out: https://s3.amazonaws.com/thesummitleagu ... hedule.pdf
And I updated the list on the first post of this thread: viewtopic.php?p=15966#p15966
So, again it looks like this year's schedule is pretty much the "mirror" of the men's schedule. No double-headers, no weekends of having both teams playing. Still not a fan of it.
Personally, I'd like a few. Doesn't have to be every weekend, but like, maybe the weekend each team plays their travel partner for a start. For example, we play St. Thomas on 1/21 and 2/18 (both Saturdays). Because we're travel partners with them, we don't play another team on Thursday that week. Instead of having our men and women in different places, have them in the same place. Have both of WIU's teams play in Macomb on 1/21...like, 3 PM and 6 PM or something, then have both teams go play at St. Thomas on 2/18. Won't really change the travel aspect (except that in some cases they might be able to share transportation), but it would also change things up a bit...let our mens and women's teams have an opportunity to cheer each other on a bit, etc.OldHare wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 3:36 pmWould many fans around WIU prefer to have some double headers? UCF Addition Financial Arena without a doubt the most entertaining place that i have seen a college basketball game of late. Saw them play the Sooners there last year. Good music, student involvement, etc. Might put this game on my calendar.
