D gets a stop.  O turns it over before D even gets a seat on bench.  Rinse. Repeat.

This team has talent, but as a unit they are bad.  Could easy be they're not properly being prepared or mix of that and just not as talented.

Not having a decent QB is a major problem.  Especially if you don't have a running game.

The Qb position is concerning, but they need to pick one and stick with them.

Isnt Davenport a JUCO?  Not seen much action of late.

Update: My bad, I thought this was his first year, not 2nd.
We were close to getting that kid out of Des Moines but he changed his mind.  Dont recall his name right now.  Was it Byron Jarrett?

I guess it was.  I see he is at West Florida now so he might not have been ready for this level of football either.  Does have some decent stats there though.

I agree about the QB spot, they have 7 QB's on the roster according to the website. Not sure what is going on with Davenport seemed like some on hear who have been watching liked him. I asked before about the Drake Day kid from Burlington, he played at Memphis previously but hasn't played for us. Is he hurt or something and being redshirted, just seems weird he hasn't been given a shot.

Curious to hear others thoughts....is this the worst WIU football team ever? We have to be amongst the worst in the country in every aspect of the game.

I dont know about the worst but I do think we are going to need a big ass rock to keep pounding on to improve the situation.  The cupboard was pretty bare when Myers took over and the transfer portal took its toll.  He got a late start in the recruiting game because he was not hired until mid-December.  Are his first year recruits going to be the foundation for the future, maybe a few, but I a not holding my breath on that.  This may be a 4-5 year rebuilding effort.  Will the natives be willing to wait that long?
