Same. I know before the season we were all hopefully for a 4-5 win season but I expected 3-4… not 0.

For a Senior Day game, there was not much emotion and spirit on the Western sideline.

Couldn't watch the game as I was traveling, but just painfully re-watched this game.

I can't do another year of this. Not sure what was worse, the weather our WIU.

Please explain this quote to me from Coach:

"I thought we played tough, disciplined football, the defense played outstanding," WIU coach Myers Hendrickson said.

A disciplined approach to anything in life is generally a tightly controlled effort, sticking with what you have done before, whether it was successful or not.  That pretty much sums up our offense in a nutshell.  On the other side of the ball, we gave up only 21 points.  Coming in to the game, we were averaging giving up about 40 points to our conference opponents. Kudos to us.

Thats the best I can do.

I listened to the first qtr before I had to go to a family function, anyway WIU was moving the ball and had 4th and 5 and were in field goal range and they went for it, which I'm fine with, but they called a fade pattern, which usually has little chance of succeeding. I didn't understand that at all and I don't think Dr Tom like the call either.

Another great decision by our HC/OC.

Its obvious the boys have lost confidence in their "leader"

Okay coach, we allowed 21 points to the 2nd worse team in the conference. How did the offense do? You know the offense that you control and call all the plays for since week 1? Way past time to take a long look in the mirror isn't it? HIRE AN OC IN 2023!!!!

Just to veer a bit off topic here, what exactly happened to Brantley? I know it looked really serious from what I could see on TV, but I never heard exactly what his injury ended up being. Prayers for fast healing for him, for sure.
