Not sure what capacities are or what weather was like but not real eye popping attendance numbers

Just more proof that having games on Thanksgiving weekend that aren't scheduled until 6 days prior is a bad idea. People have travel plans already and many won't be able to (or want to) change them at the last minute. Also most students aren't on campus. You also have to take into account the fact that in-season numbers for many schools are a bit inflated, whereas it's not as easy to do that during the playoffs (and it might actually be in the school's best interest to not artificially inflate numbers because they'd end up owing more money to the NCAA).

If they can figure out a way to skip Thanksgiving weekend and play the first round the first weekend of December, you'd probably see a bit better attendance. Part of the problem is that there's an NCAA rule that if you have automatic bids, then you have to have at least as many at-large selections. Currently, there's 10 autobids, so the playoff field has to be at least 20.

Delaware at #1 South Dakota State at 2 PM
Winner of SEMO @ Montana will play at #3 North Dakota State at 3 PM (I'll update this tomorrow, but I doubt I'll be up by the time the game finishes...it just got started)

Other playoff games next weekend:
11 AM - New Hampshire at #8 Holy Cross
1 PM - Gardner-Webb at #5 William and Mary
1 PM - Furman at #7 Incarnate Word
2 PM - Weber State at #4 Montana State
2 PM - Southeastern Louisiana at #6 Samford
4 PM - Richmond at #2 Sacramento State

Any idea on TV for any of these games?

All should at least be available on ESPN+
Some might also be available on their local/regional sports networks/channels.
Also, the SWAC Championship game (Southern vs Jackson State) is at 3 PM on ESPN2

I figured they were on ESPN+, didn't know if any of the ESPNs were carrying them

  • UND at Weber State - .... UND fans are upset that this game is at Weber State because it sounds like they think their bid was a decent bit higher than Weber State's...
Apparently the bids were:
UND - $127,500
WSU - $41,683

There's other criteria they take into account, but that's a pretty huge difference for them to award the home game to the other team.
