Western won the game 79-75.

Alec Rosner led the Western scoring with 23 points.  Trenton Massner had 17 points.  Jesiah West had 15 points and 9 rebounds.  Vuk Stevanik had 14 points.  

Western was 9 of 25 (36%) on three-point attempts.  Alec Rosner was 5 of 8. 

Western's largest lead was 5 points (73-68) which came with 3 minutes left in the game.

This was the 167th meeting between Western and Eastern Illinois.

Attendance at Eastern Illinois = 1,137

Next game will be in Moline on Friday (Dec 16) vs Eureka College.  Game time is 7:30 PM.  This game is the 2nd game of a double-header at The Mark.  Women's basketball will be playing St Xavier University (Chicago) in the first game.

Western gets to bring The Ole Railsplitter Axe back to Macomb.

Although I don't think EIU is very good this year it was still a nice road win, esp with Q out sick today.

Looking forward to the DH in Moline tonight. Only received one inch of snow yesterday up here in the shadows of the UNI-Dome and none expected today!!

Should be two fairly easy wins for both teams tonight.

Impressive. Iowa was up 18-4 fairly early with a 99.6% chance of victory. Iowa was favored by 30, but lost by 9.

I thought EIU played really well against us and looked better than what their record was.

Iowa was without their best player Murray and one of the McCaffery boys.  Looks like the guy from UND has been playing really well stepping in for Murray.

Speaking of Murray, can you imagine if they would have taken our WIU offer instead of going to Prep School.  The twins would have dominated the Summit, but would have likely did it and transferred real quick.
