Was just going to post something about this.
Perfect game against Detroit Mercy, winning 2-0
1-0 loss to Valpo
4-3 win over St. Louis University
3-0 win over Bowling Green
then a 2-1 win over Detroit Mercy

After their good start, the softball team has struggled. They have seemed to lose some close games. On Tuesday they play 2 games against Tennessee Tech and they are 1-20 so far this season, so hopefully they can sweep the doubleheader against them.

Well can't even beat a team with one win, they just got swept by Tennessee Tech. Looks like it will be another long season for softball. Not sure what happened after the promising start.

6-18 so far... YIKES... and we all know Summit play doesn't get any easier.

A look at Coach Goler's seasons here:
2023: 6-18 (no conference play yet)
2022: 8-37 (4-17 in conference)
2021: 16-29 (6-14 in conference)
Total: 30-84 (10-31 in conference)

Then look at the former basebasll Coach Pascoe, who got fired:
2022: 8-44 (5-19 in conference)
2021: 11-29 (7-20 in conference)
2020: 0-13 (COVID)
Total: 19-73 (12-39 in conference)

The Softball team lost again today to Murray St. Agree conference season will not be easy, so I don't see a turn around come conference season. I know nothing about the softball coach but unfortunately doesn't seem to be getting the job done, so it might be time to look elsewhere.

Seems like we are playing fundamental softball, but we just can’t hit.  I wonder how many base runners we have stranded since playing in the dome to open the season.  We seem to be one hit away or one pitch away.  Today, the Racers scored 2 early on a 2 out home run and then finished the game not allowing a run although once again leaving a whole lotta runners stranded.  Without scoring our pitching staff has a small margin for error.  We just can’t finish.  jc ;)

Idk about his... we are batting .229 as a team with just two starters batting over .300.
