The latest @WIUfootball commit is a juco standout who set single-season records at Contra Costa College in 2023 with 80 catches, 1,276 yard and 14 TDs.

New QB arrives too. Was a Power 5 QB at Wash St. Looks like he a had a great season.

Yeah, was kinda shocked by that as it’s kinda late in the recruiting cycle. Wonder why he jumped in so late

Yeah that was my thought too seems late, at least stay for Spring ball and see how that goes.

A lot of players wait until they get their scholarship checks for the semester to announce their departure that way they don’t have to participate in Spring ball and avoid possible injuries. I don’t like it but that’s the world of college football now!
Could have been something else that triggered his transfer like coaches making a position change from WR to TE? I mean he’s 6’4 222. That’s the size of a TE more than a WR. With a new offense and new players brought in where does he best fit in…WR or TE? Who knows.

Administration needs to address the scholarship check issues, most universities pay it on a weekly basis so this doesn’t happen, if they quit the team at any point they discontinue the distribution of scholarship.
