Absolutely however I’m always nervous when kids like this commit so early. The key is keeping his commitment.

Absolutely. Need to win more than a few games this year to have any hope hanging on to him I’m sure. He could also have a stellar senior year and big schools come calling. Either way, If I had to place a wager on whether he’s here all four years, I’d place a large sum on the “no” side.

Another multi sport “3 star” player. Looks like a good get. Wonder how many HS vs portal kids this staff will sign. 

Coached Yazzie's HC, Gabe Bakker in fifth grade. Gabe's high school HC was Tom Wilson seven time state champion coach at WDM Dowling and brother of WIU DC Brad Wilson. Between Gabe and Tom we'll some players coming to WIU instead of UNI, SDSU, NDSU, NIU or even Ind. State. This will be Gabe's third year at Waukee. He will continue to quietly build the Waukee against the likes of WDM Dowling, WDM Valley and Johnston.
 
 

Waukee is the hot suburb right now, people are just going to keep funneling in for the next while. Slightly related, a friend of mine has a wrestling gimmick as a snooty Waukee yacht club member.
