Interesting to see JD dip into Kentucky to get a recruit, i think it might be a first. He usually seems to stay in the states of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Missouri to get his high school recruits.

Regarding the Kentucky recruit, I put all the OVC cities into a triangulation calculator and came up with the geographic center (little red dot) of the conference.  Note I excluded Little Rock, 1 because they are leaving and 2 my tool allowed only 10 cities.  So interestingly, the center is very close to the intersection of the Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky borders.  Yep, the recruiting climate is trending southward.  From my perspective, letting family and friends travel to more of your games is always good for business.

From my research she looks like a top ten 2026 recruit in the state of Kentucky.  Nice improvement in stats over years.  

WIU picked up another commitment today, Mylee Stiefel from Burlington, Ia.

Need some forwards. Hopefully get at least one if not 2 from the transfer portal. 

Was surprised Mia was in All Star game in Phoenix think she will get a look by WNBA.  She looked OK in limited minutes what an honor to be invited to game on ESPN.  Mylee from Burlington looks good ave 24 as Sr.  She can really handle the ball.  Like players from IA crossing river and helping my alma mater.  Think we have two scholarships to give need a couple bigs to replace Mia and Raegan.  Go girls!

Mylee is also a state placewinner in sprints. I doubt she will but she could probably run track at WIU also.

Mya Robinson from St Louis area looks really good all state as Jr and Sr.  Hope we get a talented tall player next.  Go Western.

i wonder if JD is going to get someone from the portal or just go with the returners and the incoming freshman. The way i have it figured they are at 12 players currently, they can have 15, but I don't JD wants that many, so they might be done or add one more player. I would like to see them add a transfer, hopefully someone that played some meaningful minutes somewhere because Reed and Davis are the only returners who played major minutes, but then again I trust JD to know what he has coming back and coming in.
