Arguably, the biggest game of the conference season thus far.  Good chance we see them again in conference tournament.  We need to set the tone early.  Hopefully a raucous crowd will help to keep them in check throughout.
Might we see McCowan on the floor to add to the buzz? 
Will be our first games to see in person this year.  Yeah, I know - my bad.  Especially true 'cause I bought the whole conference game bundle of tickets for me and the wife this year.

Western wins 64-39

Mia Nacastro, Kaylen Reed, and Addi Brownfield led the Western scoring with 14 points.

Attendance at Western Hall = 1,083

Next game will be at Western Hall on Saturday vs Morehead State.  Game time is 1:00 PM.

Great win against tough opponent.  Really encouraged by the play of Kaylen Reed lately.  Her playing well gives us one more scorer.  Great job WIU!

Our defensive pressure and uptempo offensive play kept them from getting into any sort of rhythm.  Things could be a lot different come tournament time because Ford Center will be a bit of a home court advantage for them fan numbers wise.  Morehead State also travels pretty well to the tournament from my memory.

I too have been impressed with Reed's play the last few games.  You want your players peaking at the right time of the season and she fits the bill.

Unfortunately, we won't be seeing Regan back on the basketball court playing the rest of this season as she will be redshirting. I am sure this was a very difficult decision and we should respect her tough decision and enjoy her return healthy next season.
