The baseball team picked up its first win of the season yesterday beating Akron 16-8. Akron is now 2-3 on the season and they battle the Zips again today.

the baseball team took 2 out of 3 from Akron this weekend. They are now 2-4 on the season and are scheduled to play St Ambrose at home Tuesday.

Western beat Saint Ambrose 12-3 in Tuesday's home opener.

Western is now 3-4 on the season.

Western will open a 3-game series at Louisiana-Monroe this weekend.

I attended my first game today. The Arkansas Little Rock coach intentionally delayed the game to prompt a rain delay. Was nice of him to ruin the game for me. I really couldn't stand him and his team. 

Due to inclement weather and lightning in the area, Game 1 between Western Illinois and Little Rock has been paused.

The game was in the bottom of the 8th inning when it was suspended.  Western is leading 5-4.

The game will resume on Saturday, April 4, at 1 p.m. at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium.

Game 2 of the series will begin approximately 45 minutes following the conclusion of Game 1.

WIU did win today, so they ended up winning 1 of the 3 games against Little Rock.
