So, so looking forward to joining the team on the road trip to Marquette, complements of the winning bid and the Purple & Gold auction. It's a bit of a late departure, but gotta way for Ashley Luke to graduate with tons of honors at the Saturday morning ceremony, then off to Milwaukee at 12noon. Not to worry, Ashley will be back as eligibility wise she's only a Junior. She'll join Tori and Jenna as grad students. Wow!

So excited to be making the trip with the team and bringing home a victory from the 2pm Sunday game :D

Wonder if our former A.D. will be at this game ????

He is now the A.D. at Cardinal Stritch University which is also in Milwaukee.

I would doubt it wiu712. I imagine he wants to forget about us as much as many here want to forget about him.

We are up 32-31 at half. Sounds like a good Leatherneck contingent in Milwaukee.

Killing time at half. Interesting trivia note: The Beatles once stayed at a Marquette residence hall (it was a hotel back then):

Damn, we went cold from long distance at the wrong time. Leathernecks fall 65-57.

Western was ahead at the half 32-31. But Marquette used a key 15-0 run in the second half to pull away.

Marquette won 65-57.

Attendance at Marquette was 960.

We were only 7 for 17 from the free throw line. That really hurt.

But is was great start, going up 8 before they scored.

We have 4 from Wisconsin on the roster, Marquette only has 1.

At age 58, give me a full week of prep time, I am pretty sure I could do that blind-folded. It's all in the bend of the knees and you want a little forward lean going into the shot. I think Ashley was still in "graduation posture" mode but congrats to her nonetheless on her accomplishment. Tere, I might outbid you on this trip next year.
