It was mentioned elsewhere, but thought it deserved it's own post.
Ashley Luke Named Capital One Academic All-America of the Year



This in addition to her academic honors (including being named the University's Lincoln Laureate last fall) as well as her athletic honors (league player of the week 5 times, female athlete of the month for december, etc.)



She's a great student, a great athlete, and a great representative of Western Illinois University.

And....she's only a Junior (in terms of athletic eligibility.)

Definitely agree that Ashley deserves her own thread here! If she repeats next year, she'll be on par with Maya Moore from Connecticut. In my book though, way ahead, as be the end of next season she will have completed her Master's.

Today has been named "Ashley Luke Day" in Macomb:

The season may be well over, but that doesn't mean Ashley Luke isn't getting even more recognition.
