Women's Basketball opens the season with a home game tonight (Friday, Nov 13) vs Central Methodist University from Fayette, MO.

Game time is 7PM at Western Hall.

Central Methodist is a Division I NAIA school in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Culver-Stockton College is also a member of that conference.

Well that kinda messed with my head a bit. I go to put the kids to bed and when I come back down to check the stats of the women's game, it says it's in the 2nd period of the game...which I assumed to mean the second half and I couldn't figure out how they'd played a full half and then another 14 or so minutes in the 2nd half in the span of maybe 25 minutes.

Western is currently up 34-19 with about 4:30 left until halftime.

Western won 108-46. Freshman Taylor Higginbotham had a great night with 25 points, shooting 9 for 12 (75%) on FGs and 5 for 6 on 3-pointers (83.3%). Sophomore Michelle Farrow had 19 points and 4 other players had at least 10 points.

Attendance at Western Hall was 925.
