Re: 2018 Summit League Tournament
I don't think Sioux Falls is a problem. Nice venue, well attended, seems like the players and coaches are well taken care of. If you're the best team, you can win there, even if you are traveling 500 miles -- see WIU WBB last year. Sure the Dakotas have dominated recently - but they are also the mos...

Re: Signing Day 2018
I would’t say that...we didn’t lose him to UNI...we chose not to sign him. Just so we're clear, did he have an offer from WIU at the time he signed with UNI? My understanding was that he did, if I'm wrong, that's fine. If I'm correct, your statement above is not truthful -- spinzone at best.

Re: Charlie Fisher
Nobody said it has to do more with their success, just that they are more willing to have them stick around because they like them. Maybe I'm just not understanding the point of your post. My point is exactly what you said. The underlying reason to promote a talented group assistants has nothing to...

Re: Charlie Fisher
It's because people actually like members of this staff. I'm really not trying to be a jag-off here, but really? What did your liking this coaching staff more result in? Did Leatherneck Nation like them enough to get us a deeper playoff run? Did you like them enough to afford the DIA with enough mo...

Re: Charlie Fisher
How the mood has changed over the past couple of years. A few years ago many on this Board DIDN'T want to hire from within, now we should. I really don't want to dig out those old message board quotes, so please don't motivate me to. I guess I trust our AD at this point. He's been around football lo...

Fisher gone!? So much for that I wanna be a head coach, want to build something here baloney. It was never a good sign when his house went up for sale at the beginning of the season. STILL think Yelk was the right choice.

Re: Football Attendance Crisis
Josh is right, the gameday experience needs to improve. There are some low-hanging options like a beer tent, but others require a bit more $$$. Hanson Field is a relic. It is not a good place to watch football. Until that's addressed, it's going to be tough sledding.

Re: @NIU, @Illinois, @Chicago State
Taylor Higginbotham led the Western scoring with 24 points. She left the game with an eye injury and did not play in the 4th qr. Taylor Hanneman had 19 points. Olivia Kaufmann had 13. Emily Clemens had 11. Western was 14 for 35 (40%) on three-pointers. Attendance at UIUC = 1,080. Just a technical n...

Re: WIU at Weber State (11/25/17) - Playoffs Round 1
Scott, I wasn't talking our red zone defense as a weakness, from what I heard on the broadcast, statistically, we rank near the bottom in red zone OFFENSE. Is that correct? IE, our weakness would going up against a team strength of Weber State. Oh...ok yeah, I got ya. Red zone offense, we are 21st ...
