Ideally, yes, I wish we could have stayed. Ideally I would like to see the conference go back to when it was the Gateway, and ...

Re: WIU at Coastal Carolina (9/23/2017)
Watched the Coastal Carolina game...congrats to WIU. The Leathernecks looked good. The MVFC is as advertised: every weekend is going to be tough.

Re: WIU at South Dakota (10/29/2016)
Predicting a 10 point win by WIU. Pounding on Nielsen's team seems like a good motivating factor. Good luck to the Leathernecks.

Re: Nielson Leaving?
If only Illinois had that oil money like the Dakotas have.

Re: WIU vs South Dakota State (11/21/2015)
Jackrabbit fans are excited about this team but we know the team is capable of having some terrible lapses leading to our two losses (NDSU was a terrible loss and we just played poorly -- a teaching moment, I suppose. UNI was a struggle and we just couldn't seem to get in sync...and neither could ...

Re: Jackrabbits in Brookings
...This team is so much better than what their record shows....
No question about that. The Jackrabbits were well aware of what the Leathernecks had done to opponents' running game all season and WIU was in every game. We also have a lot of respect for Coach Nielsen (his former post, Duluth, is ...

Re: Jackrabbits in Brookings
I wasn't aware of the rule on heating and cooling fans...thanks for that info sealhall.
I don't think we'll have any trouble "cooling fans" on Saturday.

Re: Jackrabbits in Brookings
Thanks for the stats, St. Lawson.
Our QB, Austin Sumner, was the pre-season All-MVFC QB but, as you noted, minutes into the Missouri game he broke his foot when he planted it in the turf. He sat out until the NDSU game when he was cleared to play. He looked pretty good in the ISUb game the following ...
