Terrible hire in my opinion, especially with the other finalist that was available.  This guy was coaching football for three years and we hire him to coach baseball halfway across the country in a place where he has no connections for recruiting.  The most Western thing that Western could do.

There has been no one inducted to the hall of fame since 2019.  How bad is our athletic department if we can't even properly manage our own hall of fame?

Both have won alot.  Very well connected.  Sup is a WIU alum.  Razo pitched at ISU.

The NCAA stats reveal all. 293 D1 teams. The only area of respectibility I see is we CAN play small ball just a bit. Get a hit (or take a hbp) now and then, move him over with a bunt or stolen base, and pray he occasionally finds home plate.

This squad has literally had more than twice as many runs given up than scored. To cause such a detrimental ratio, is it:

-Lack of respectable pitching
-Lack of players producing at the place
-Poor defense allowing extra runs

Just got an email that the WIU baseball alumni tribute weekend has been cancelled.  I think this nicely sums up the state of the program.

Now a robust 4-35.  My prediction is they will finish 7-45.

It's not just the pitching, although that part of it is brutal. When you are 4-32 it's obviously many things. I've watched about 4 games on ESPN+ and our everyday lineup has no power offensively. Everybody up north basically heads south for the first month of the season, which by and large creates the larger amount of road games.  ISU has 33 away and 21 home, EIU, has 33 away and 20 home.
