Re: @W Kentucky

Lost Sunday's game 7-6. Had the tying run on 3B in the top of the 7th. Went 1-2 on the weekend, great showing considering the competition. Hope I can get to Macomb for a game this year! Looks like conference season covers much of the time when football spring practices are going on (although they'l...

Re: Jacob Judd

Judd had been cut by the Hotshots before the start of the regular season last weekend (teams needed to be down to 52 players at the end of training camp), however, due to a handful of injuries, the Hotshots have signed two O-linemen including Jacob Judd. I don't know if we'll see him on the field, b...

Re: Softball 2019

On a slightly related subject, former Neck speedster/slapper Sammy Marshall is now the head coach at Judson U. http://www.judsoneagles.com/sport/softball/roster/sammy-marshall Looks like she's also still playing in the pro league as well and was recently traded to the Cleveland Comets: https://clev...

Re: Football Recruits - 2019

Lest you think the coaching staff is taking a long winters nap after signing day, we've got some more offers out for kids, including a 6'6" QB from Ft. Scott (KS) CC who's originally from Jefferson City, MO: https://twitter.com/iGunnarSee/status/1095103014510227456 Also a punter out of Iowa Western ...

Re: Early look at 2019

Huhh,.....I thought Wahee's eligibility had expired. Having him back healthy is F***ing fantastic! Wahee was redshirted and played two seasons at Norfolk State. I don't know the details of his transfer, but he played for us last year, so it must have been a grad transfer or something. He's played 3...

Google's Impact Challenge Illinois

In case you haven't heard, Google is holding a competition for nonprofits in Illinois with "innovative ideas for growing economic opportunity in Illinois". The 10 finalists each receive $75,000 in grant funding and training and the winner of the public vote receives and additional $250,000. WIU's Il...

Re: Football Recruits - 2019

The NCAA caps the number of players a team can have in practice before classes start. Not sure what it is, but I believe it is around 110? I think we are pretty close to that number now. Yup, you can only have so many kids on the team, so having a huge recruiting class isn't necessarily an advantag...

Re: Early look at 2019

Early record prediction- 8-4 I like our Non Conf schedule. We should manage 3-1 if we can be ready for the opener at N Alabama. MVFC is always tough, but I think some of the teams slide back to their old ways. 5-3 should be attainable, which will likely put us back in the playoffs. Lots of great in...
