Re: Beneath the "Purple and Gold!"

Gov. JB Pritzker used his second budget speech Wednesday to promise more money for education, child welfare, and public safety while adding a very big “ but ” to his list of spending priorities for next year. That “ but ” was that a large portion of those spending increases could be reduced or outr...

Re: Getting down and dirty in Vermillion

The Necks are making the long trek to Vermillion, SD for a hump night affair with the Yotes. I was looking around to see what Macomb and Vermillion have in common. Both small towns, county seats, and a Best Western hotel is about all I could come up with. What do our two teams have in common? Not m...

Re: Former President Jack Thomas

I truly wish him well at Central State University. They were on our football schedule many many years ago. I think his contract was based on the fact that he would come back and teach at WIU. I don't think WIU has to pay his salary once he is again under another contract. Just my gut reaction thoug...

Re: Beneath the "Purple and Gold!"

So, 8.9 million to restart PAC! Can anyone tell me what that means? ;) jc A whole bunch of gold-plated shovels for an elaborate ground-breaking ceremony. Enough to make Al Goldfarb smile from ear to ear. My guess is that the 8.9M is for a whole new set of architectural shovel-ready plans. The...

Re: Mastodons Last Stand in Mac Land

We need to be leaving the Summit League as well. The only school east of the Mississippi is not something we should want. Horizon league would give us common foes with our past, plus really cut down on travel costs. Cleveland State, Detroit Wisconsin-Green Bay IUPUI Northern Kentucky Oakland Illinoi...

Re: At South Dakota State

I would say we didn't bother to show up.

22.9% FG made
24.3% 3pt made
30.8% FT made
10/15 A/TO ratio

Not going to win with that kind of performance.

I guess the silver lining as at least all 11 healthy players got into the game.
