It is early and the sample size is miniscule but Coach Mo's words from yester-decade appear to ring true once again.  "We don't have a lot of guys who can create their own shot".  It is a tall task when you are out-quicked on the court.  

Well, we manage to get it done.  McGill had a huge game on the ground.  For most of this season, I have been scratching my head wondering how good we would be with him a true RB and Carswell as the QB.  Tied for first place in OVC now.  Cant complain too much.

Neither team has a 3rd down conversion with 5 minutes left.  Very strange game.  We doing our best to blow it.

Sad to see that the Old Stompin' Ground Runaround is apparently no longer a thing.  I don't run much these days but could walk it.

The OVC is pretty weak this year. Only one team (SEMO) has a winning record right now. For comparison, the MVFC has 5 teams with a current winning record.
In fact, after looking at the Massey ratings site, only one other FCS conference (Northeast) is lower with 0 team winning records at this point ...

On offense, we are very good at "chunk" plays but not so good at sustaining long drives which wear down the opponent defense.  That usually comes back to haunt a team come 4th quarter time.

Is there something wrong with the 98.1 radio stream?

I get commercials but nothing else.

One would think that a defense forced to pay extra attention to the opposing QB would open up opportunities for the WRs and RBs.  I have not seen that materialize YET but the season is young, conference-wise anyway.
