"Two of my eventual brothers-in-law are also in the trumpet line in all the performances I've linked to (one of whom is now a choral/vocal music education professor at Western). "

Re: LaCale London
My husband and I were half listening to the Bears lose their preseason game this afternoon while driving home when we heard the announcers talking favorably about a defensive lineman from Western Illinois. We missed the name, but after checking the Bears roster when we got home, it could only have ...

Re: How is Dunkin Donuts coming along?
Hearing Rocky's has closed with no plans of reopening.

Re: Introduce Yourself
I rarely post, but read almost everything on LN. I grew up in rural Henderson County, moved to Macomb after getting married just before graduating from Illinois State and then worked a couple of years in retail on the square. I started working at WIU in 1976 and retired two years ago. I've worked in ...

Re: Updates to faculty layoff plan and other stuff
I completely disagree that a PAC is a waste of money. As someone who moved to Macomb in the 70's when we lost out on a PAC the first time around, this is LONG overdue. I'm sure I'm not the only one who grew tired of watching BCA stage performances in Western Hall. Not to mention that some ...
