Re: 2025 Season
Who has plans to go where? Both the Northwestern and Illinois games will have a great gameday atmosphere. I don't think I will attend those (money or lack thereof). As an aside, I checked out Northwestern's temporary home right by the Lake last August. Cool, unusual capacity 25K or less, so tickets ...

Re: Hanson field new turf?
Ok, well that tempers my expectations at least. Times are tough money is tight.
The current field certainly is usable. It wont look or feel like a new field. However, our 'Necks get to practice and play on it regularly so it will be the norm. I guess it affects visiting teams more adversely ...

Re: Performing Arts Center
Oh, ok thanks 712 for informing me of what I guess most people might have known. No urgency to book any show.

Re: Performing Arts Center
Anybody on here have any news on the progress of Goldfarb Center for the Performing Arts (hope I got the name right). Is the completion date sometime in the Fall of this year? I am curious as to who is lined up for the inaugural show. If there isn't anything lined up by now it needs to happen soon.

Hanson field new turf?
Hanson Field was scheduled to receive new turf installed the Summer of 2024. The bid number I recall was 488,445.00. I don't remember what company or type of turf.
So...no new turf materialized last year. Was the turf instalation postponed to Summer 2025 waiting for a cash infusement from the two ...

Re: FCS/Mid-Major Conference Shuffling
I think the Chicago State to NEC was born out of mutual desperation. Both entities are just barely hanging on in the D-I sphere.

Re: Upset Leatherneck Fan
My prediction is Western will never make the NCAA tournament. I predict in five years or so WIU's enrollment will be less than 3,000. WIU will transition to D-II GLVC.
I think there is a strong possibility that U of I gobbles up WIU and the once proud Western Illinois University ceases to exist as ...

Re: 2025 recruits
I agree with you ST_L. I agree with the league you proposed. I can't really see Illinois St or UNI getting onboard. I would be happy to drop G-W and Chuck S. and get Austin Peay back in the fold and add Indiana State as a football associate. Also, maybe get Murray State back as a football only ...

Re: 2025 recruits
Chicago State to the OVC? Absolutely unequivocally NO, a hundred times over no.
The only possible "yes" (for me) would be if the Big South left for...idk...the CAA or UAC or something and TN State leaves for a HBCU league and we have no other reasonable prospects and it's either dissolve the ...
