Former WIU assistant taking Illinois Job
Former WIU assistant coach Brad Underwood is back in Illinois and taking over the head coaching position at Illinois. His name became popular after taking Stephan F. Austin to the NCAA tourny 3 times, and just took Oklahoma St. to the NCAA tourny but lost to Michigan.

Time to Fire Billy Wright and Rebuild the Basketball Program
After seeing the drought end for the Women's team I think it is time to blow up and rebuild the men's program. Billy Wright has shown in his 3 years he cannot coach at this level (mid major D I). He is one hell of a recruiter but cannot utilize the talent he brings in. You can tell he can't adjust a...

Re: Eastern 12/10
So anyone else ready for the upcoming baseball season or talk about recruits needed for football...we can go ahead and say this terrible coaching, talent wasting somewhat of a basketball team is done

Re: 12/3 Chicago State
Well if Coach Wright wasn't on the hot seat before, he is now. He is now 18-43 in not even two in a half years as the head coach. He may have a great resume as a player, and is one hell of a recruiter but the guy cannot coach. High school coaches can out coach him. He doesn't change the offense to ...

Re: 11/29 @ American U
WIU is now 0-4 on the year (the NCAA throws out their 2 lower division wins when it comes to tournament time). They blew a 9 point halftime lead and gave up 40 points in the 2nd half to a winless team. Got out rebounded 29-38 (AU got 11 offensive rebounds to WIU's 2), shot 2-10 from 3 point line, sh...

Re: @ Miamii (OH)
It's kind of find it funny how I read some of the post after the game, and it is the same things I said a game or 2 ago. Now I may be the newbie on here but it seems like my words goes by the wayside then show up later in other people's post. I said it last season...too much mid range to 3 point sho...

Re: Gameday @EIU
Kind of expanding on last post. I don't know that there is a single player on this roster that would have been on the same talent level as any of Thomas' teams. I know talent isn't everything, proved by those very same teams. They just didn't play team basketball, had no discipline, and many had of...

Re: Gameday @EIU
Agree with all above. Wasting talent for sure. These freshman are doing ok but not going to make any difference either. WIU will not be able to get much better talent than they have. With this very basic system and all the dumb subbing, and predictable offense and defense we are just gonna get same...

Re: Gameday @EIU
I did notice how hard he was playing at Bradley since I used to live in the Peoria area...but do not forget Billy Wright also had help in some guy name Anthony Parker who was pretty damn good (that team was good enough to win the MVC title and get the automatic bid into the NCAA tournament in 1996.....
