This should have been a national search. Really would have liked to see who else would have been interested.

Equal Opportunity office has the power to squash an internal hire and require a search committee.

I'm hearing special thanks for today's fiasco are due to WIU's Equal Opportunity & Access office.

Perhaps UPI will actually offer some suggestions to help with needed structural budget reforms. UPI leadership has offered nothing and just whines and complains about everything. Why on earth are the UPI members complaining about being blindsided about potential layoffs? Where on earth have they been?

Good decision. I'm sure it was a tough call, but this is necessary.
